- Bring your gifts and wrap them at our gift-wrapping station.
- Wrapping paper, scissors, tape, bows, ribbons, and gift tags are included!
Secret Library Party (ages 12-18)
Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, 5-7 p.m.
- Teens-only after-hours event!
- Free food, coffee, sodas, prizes, and games!
- Bring canned food for our community pantry donation.
Silver Screen Saturdays: The Grinch
Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- It's the coziest time of the year! Enjoy the nice warm library while watching a seasonal favorite with us.
Mondays, Dec. 18, 2023, all-day
- Join us in The Studio at Laman Library each Monday in December to make some fun ornaments for your holiday tree.
- Create ornaments using pipe cleaners and beads.
A Very Merry Scavenger Hunt (ages 6-11)

- Your holiday favorites are hiding all around the Children’s Department! Help us find them all in time for the holidays!
Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023, 3:30-4:00 p.m.
- ALL ABOARD! Come along for a themed after-school story and activity time!
Winter Wonder-Loft (ages 12-18)
Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2023, 2-6 p.m.
- Come watch your favorite winter movies and have some cozy snacks in the Loft!
- We've got snacks, movies, wintry crafts, and hot chocolate all prepared.
- Enter your name in a drawing for some amazing prize bags and cozy up for the afternoon in the Loft.

Holiday Scavenger Hunt: Barbie, Paw Patrol, and Santa
Tuesdays, Dec. 5-19, 2023, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Help the Children's Department find missing characters each Tuesday, in December.
- Each participant will receive a scavenger hunt package with a treat.
- Barbie on Dec. 5th, Paw Patrol on Dec. 12th, and Santa on Dec. 19th
Fridays, Dec. 8-22, 2023, 4-5 p.m.
- Christmas is near so we making ornaments at the Argenta Youth Services Department to hang on your tree or give it as a gift.
Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, 4-5 p.m.
- We're celebrating the upcoming New Year by making something special to take home to share with your family.

Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt (Wally's Cafe and Rickenbacker's)
Monday, Dec. 11 to Friday, Dec. 15, 2023 (hours vary, confirm before going)
- Come on in and try to find the Elf of the Shelf and you may just win a free hot cocoa!
Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, 6-8 p.m. (Purchase tickets by Dec. 8th at the Youth Center)
- Have dinner with our special visitor, Santa, at the Youth Center along with holiday-themed crafts and games!
- Your $5 ticket includes dinner along with a photo with Santa, himself.
