Who Runs the World?....MOMS

By Melissa Smith, Owner of FIT4MOM Little Rock March 21, 2019

This month we celebrate MOMS, WOMEN, FEMALES! Whether you’re a stay at home mom or a boss mom with a 9-5, we see you. We support you + we want you to know that you are kicking some major butt in life and motherhood. It’s time that we, as females, stand together and support one another in ALL areas of mamahood. Here are some ways you can show #strengthinmotherhood.

Show Your Support for #allthemoms

Have a friend that just had a baby? Send her a text and let her know you’re thinking about her. Better yet. Make a drive to her house and offer to hold her sweet babe while she takes a shower. The first weeks of motherhood are rough and sometimes just being able to wash your hair makes you feel like a new woman. New mamas also need support.  Invite that mom into your girl-gang-mom-group! Making mom friends can be intimidating. Help ease them into making friends that can relate to what they are experiencing. We build bonds over the sleepless nights, fussy babes, and strong-willed toddlers. Having a mom squad to share your ups and downs of motherhood with makes the journey much more enjoyable.

Buy a Mama a Cup of Coffee

Join the #mamajavamovement and buy that mama a cup of coffee. See the mama at the local coffee shop struggling to get that hot cup of joe, we’ve all been that mom holding up the line with a screaming baby and a toddler wrapped around their leg. Pay it forward, ma! Not at a coffee shop? Know a mama that could use a little love? Venmo them $5 with a sweet message, let them know they are rocking motherhood!

Celebrate Womanhood + Motherhood

Haven’t you heard? The best part of motherhood are the other moms. Celebrate the diversity of womanhood and motherhood. Cheers to the mama that went back to work after having her baby, to that mama rocking a side hustle while raising her kids, and to the mama that chose to be a stay at home mom. There are no two journeys of motherhood that are the same. To the moms that chose to bottle-feed, breastfeed, sleep train, or co-sleep you are ALL doing it right. There is no right way to mother. We are all just a bunch of fierce females slaying our way through motherhood!

So let’s raise our glasses and toast to #allthemoms that run this world!
