Mother Nature has not been very happy lately. And when Mother isn’t happy...well, you know the rest. Summer officially kicked off a few days ago but it looks like the outdoor fun is going to have to wait. Thankfully, we have an abundance of indoor activities to enjoy. Check them out in our Summer Camp and Activities Guide (updated weekly) and on the Event Calendar sent out with the weekly newsletter.
- Kids Bowl Free at Millennium Bowl now through Oct. 31st
- Walk-in Art Projects at Bearden Productions Center for the Arts
- Summer Reading Programs and Special Events at local libraries
- Neighborhood Recreation Centers
- Willy Wonka, Jr. now playing at The Rep (don’t miss it!)
- Educational Events at Toltec Mounds
- DIY Crafts with Macaroni Kid Printables
- Roller and Ice Skating at Arkansas Skatium
- Low-cost camps offered by our Parks and Recreation Departments
- Kids activities, crafts, and story times at local retailers
- $1 Movies at McCain Mall
So don’t let the weather rain on your parade. There’s still lots to do before the 4th of July festivities begin. And the best part? The majority of the events on our Event Calendar are FREE! In fact, this upcoming week there are more than 60 FREE events for kids of all ages, and more are being added daily. We hope you find the calendar and newsletter to be useful. If you have any suggestions or feedback, just drop us a line at sandrao@macaronikid.com.
Have a great week!
Aloha
