October ... just the word brings to mind beautiful fall leaves, cool nights, apples, fall celebrations, and pumpkins! But that's not all! Did you know Taco Day is in October too? Turns out there's so much to celebrate and do this month in North Little Rock. Here are seven ideas on how to celebrate the month of October in North Little Rock with your kids.



1. Crunch into tacos

Celebrate Taco Day with a visit to Tacos El Gordo on JFK Blvd. in North Little Rock. Hands-down one of the best Food Trucks you'll find slingin' authentic taqueria-style tacos! 

2. Get lost at

Make a Difference Day is on Oct. 22! It's a great time to find a place in North Little Rock where you can volunteer with your kids. Some family-friendly volunteer opportunities in North Little Rock include:

Take donations to a Little Food Pantry or Little Free Library. Check with local churches or non-profits to see what donations are needed.
