1. Hispanic Heritage Month: Artist Exploration Series at CALS Main Library, Thursday at 4 pm
Study and create works in the style of famous Hispanic artists. We will learn about Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Diego Rivers, Jean-Michael Basquiat, and Frida Kahlo in this 5-week series.
2. World Music with the Ginsingers at Maumelle Library, Thursday at 6:30 pm
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! The duet will perform music from Cuba, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Spain, Mexico, and more.
3. FestiVille in Jacksonville at Dupree Park, Friday & Saturday at 3 pm
This free community event features Carnival Rides & Games, Live Entertainment, Food Trucks, Vendor Showcase, 5K, BINGO, Volleyball Tournament, Petting Zoo, Canoe rides, and a Kid’s Area, Fireworks on Friday & Saturday night, and more!
4. 11th Annual Tinkerfest at The Museum of Discovery, Saturday at 9 am
Guests of all ages will have the opportunity to engage in more than 40 activities from using raw materials and tools to create unique machines to launching rockets, and art exploration, plus numerous crafting and building options. Returning this year will be a sensory station that will provide activities for neurodivergent guests in a calming and soothing environment.
5. 45th Annual Sherwood Fest at Sherwood Sports Complex, Saturday at 10 am
Sherwood Fest is a family-oriented event that combines crafts, kid's activities, and family entertainment.
