Our Favorite Instagram Accounts for Neurodivergent Families

Tips you can actually use!

By Sandra Ozaki, Publisher Macaroni KID North Little Rock + Little Rock Metro, Arkansas February 11, 2026

Do you have a picky eater in your family? Someone who has special dietary needs? Or maybe, you're trying to work through your own issues while setting an example for your kids?

As a family with several neurodivergent members, including myself, we have tried many tips and strategies over the years to meet our nutritional needs on a reasonable budget, while surviving social media trends, and enjoying our favorite cultural meals without guilt.

These Instagram accounts have made an impact on our lives, so we wanted to share them with you. Take what works, leave what doesn't. And if you have suggestions for our growing community, feel free to reach out and let us know.

Who: Coach John Noel, Certified Nutritionist & Personal Trainer

What: Modified exercises for all abilities. Simple meals perfect for those struggling with food challenges, chronic illnesses, and life in general.

Why: We love that John refers to exercise as "it's just moving around." He is calm and explains the how and why of what he demonstrates.

Who: Jessica McCabe | How to ADHD

What: Jessica has ADHD and has written an incredibly helpful book, "How to ADHD."

Why: She covers the whole enchilada of ADHD challenges with helpful, well-researched strategies to help people of all ages navigate the neurotypical world.

Who: Kylie Sakaida | Nutrition by Kylie

What: Simple meals, snacks, and a cool recipe book featuring a wide variety of ethnic recipes from a certified nutritionist.

Why: Kylie is very relatable, and we love her philosophy of asking, "What can I add?" to make a favorite dish more nutritious. As an Asian diabetic, taking white rice off the menu was not happening. But adding veggies and proteins and cooking one-pot rice cooker meals made life so much easier!
