Description

MLK Day of Service, "a day On, not a day Off." Join us at the St. Joseph Center from 9 am-12:30 pm for multiple group projects around our building, farm, and grounds (lunch provided). Registration is required.

We will also be partnering with the City of North Little Rock and EngageAR to make Little Free Food Pantries out of old newspaper dispensers. All of these will be installed in various communities across Central Arkansas!

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. believed that "peoples everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies." Dr. King advocated strongly to end hunger and poverty. But it takes more than a village to do so. "No individual or nation can be great if it does not have a concern for 'the least of these'." Let's bring Dr. King's vision to life by making this project the best one yet not only for our communities but for our state as well.

You can then help us stock those pantries in two of three ways:

1. Host a food drive with fellow community members (church, fraternity, sorority, teams, etc) to bring awareness to the project and its purpose.

2. Drop items off at our North Little Rock Dream Center between January 3 - 13, 2023 between the hours of 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.

3. Drop off items on MLK Service Day, Monday, January 16, 2023, between the hours of 9:00 am- 12:00 pm at the St. Joseph's Center of Arkansas.
