"Total Eclipse of the Park" at various locations in Jacksonville

Monday April 8, 2024 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Various LocationsJacksonville AR 72079

Description

On April 8th, 2024, Jacksonville Arkansas will experience a once-in-a-lifetime Total Solar Eclipse (or as we like to call it, a #TotalEclipseOfThePark!) According to the Great American Eclipse, this phenomenon will begin around 1:45 pm in the state of Arkansas, and the final exit of the moon's shadow from our state will be around 2:00 pm.

What does this mean? Simply put, it will be one of the most beautiful things you have ever seen. This is the moment when the moon passes between the sun and the earth, and Jacksonville happens to be in the path of complete totality, meaning that our city will be in absolute darkness for a total of 2 minutes and 31 seconds in the middle of the day.

On Monday, April 8th, experience this Total Solar Eclipse at some of our city's most beautiful parks!
