1. Speaking Up, Speaking Out with Mosaic Templars at Laman Library, Thurs. at 4:30 pm
Buttons have been used for decades to express political opinions and were especially popular during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 1960s. In this program, students (grades 4 through college) will use their artistic ability to design and create their own wearable buttons to speak up and speak out.
2. 2nd Friday Art Night in Downtown Little Rock, Friday, 5-8 pm
Each month provides new themes and exhibits for people to explore, completely free of charge. As the area spans the Creative Corridor and River Market District, attendees are encouraged to visit several venues during the course of an evening - by car, sponsored trolley, or on foot.
3. Saturday Family Matinee at Strike Zone Bowling Center, Saturday, 2-4 pm
Enjoy some family time with special pricing at Strike Zone!
4. MLK Day of Service at St. Joseph Center of AR, Monday, 9 am-noon
Join us at the St. Joseph Center from 9 am-12:30 pm for multiple group projects around our building, farm, and grounds (lunch provided). Registration is required.
We will also be partnering with the City of North Little Rock and EngageAR to make Little Free Food Pantries out of old newspaper dispensers. All of these will be installed in various communities across Central Arkansas!
5. Wiggle Worms at Museum of Discovery, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, 10:30 am
Wiggle Worms introduces children, ages 6 and younger, and their families to science through fun and hands-on activities. Jan. 17-21: Climbing Around China with Pandas
